SGO 2026¶
2026 SGO Annual Meeting on Women's Cancer — San Juan, Puerto Rico · April 10 – 13, 2026. ~3,000+ attendees from 38 countries (per 2025 baseline); the dominant gynecologic-oncology subspecialty meeting of the year. Hosted by the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), with abstract publication in Gynecologic Oncology.
Status: Scaffold (post-meeting) — ready for retrospective bulk extraction. Meeting closed one month ago (Apr 10–13, 2026); all abstract embargoes lifted, simultaneous publications (The Lancet, NEJM, J Clin Oncol) are indexed. Per-trial bulk extraction deferred but the cross-vault hooks are pre-wired here. Forward continuity link to the GYN track at ASCO 2026 (May 29 – Jun 2) matters most: several of the GYN-track LBAs at ASCO are direct sequels to SGO 2026 readouts.
Why this is in the vault¶
SGO is the subspecialty Plenary for gynecologic oncology — the place ovarian, endometrial, cervical, uterine sarcoma, and vulvar/vaginal cancer readouts land first. Per-trial template applies: roughly 400+ oral + poster abstracts across four days, with a Plenary-style format across all three disease groups (ovarian Day 1 + 2; endometrial Day 2 + 3; cervical Day 3; surgical innovation + rare tumors Day 4).
The vault's gynecologic-oncology sibling structure:
- SGO (Apr) — subspecialty Plenary readouts. Practice-changing Phase 3 OS confirmations + Phase 1/2 ADC dose-expansion data in ovarian, endometrial, cervical cancer.
- ASCO main meeting (May/Jun) — broader GYN track, including Phase 3 OS confirmations of SGO PFS readouts and discussant follow-ups (e.g., RUBY 4-year OS, ROSELLA OS, NRG-GY019 LGSOC).
- ESMO main meeting (Oct) — European GYN track + late-year OS readouts; mature ADC follow-ups (raludotatug deruxtecan, puxitatug samrotecan, BNT-324).
- SGO Winter Meeting / GYN Surgical Section — between-meeting surgical innovation venue.
SGO 2026 anchors the April end of this cycle, and the discussant framing here (especially around ADC sequencing + chemo-IO maintenance) propagates through the year.

Program shape¶
SGO 2026 ran Friday April 10 (Plenary I, opening sessions, ovarian) through Monday April 13 (cervical, surgical innovation, scientific plenary), four days, San Juan Convention Center, Puerto Rico.
- Plenary slots are designated PI–PV across the four days (one Plenary per half-day). Each Plenary holds 5–7 abstracts with a senior moderator — the practice-changing readouts (ROSELLA, RUBY, NRG-GY019) all sat in Plenaries.
- Day 1 (Fri Apr 10) — ovarian (platinum-resistant), Plenary I: ROSELLA final OS (relacorilant + nab-paclitaxel; HR 0.65 for OS, mOS 16.0 vs 11.9 mo, simultaneous Lancet publication — practice-changing; FDA-approved as Lifyorli March 2026). KEYNOTE-B96 (pembrolizumab + paclitaxel ± bevacizumab, ENGOT-ov65 — encore of the Phase 3 win; recently FDA-approved). NRG-GY019 (letrozole alone vs paclitaxel/carboplatin + letrozole in low-grade serous; failed non-inferiority — chemo stays in the regimen for LGSOC).
- Day 2 (Sat Apr 11) — ovarian (platinum-sensitive) + endometrial: Mirvetuximab soravtansine + carboplatin → MIRV maintenance Ph2 in PSOC (AbbVie / ELAHERE, FRα+; 68% ORR in maintenance, 63.9% in PARPi-pretreated subgroup — supports moving MIRV earlier). Raludotatug deruxtecan (R-DXd) REJOICE-Ovarian01 (CDH6 ADC Ph2/3, 50.5% ORR — first ADC class moving in platinum-resistant beyond FRα). RAMP-201 avutometinib + defactinib LGSOC follow-up (DOR 31 mo; PFS 12.9 mo overall, 19.6 mo in KRAS-mut).
- Day 3 (Sun Apr 12) — endometrial + cervical: RUBY 4-year OS update (dostarlimab + chemo; dMMR/MSI-H HR 0.32 for death — 68% mortality reduction; MMRp HR 0.79 with 7-mo median OS gain — confirms practice change). Puxitatug samrotecan BLUESTAR Ph1/2a (AstraZeneca AZD8205 B7-H4 ADC; first-in-human endometrial; ORR 34.6% @ 2.0 mg/kg, 38.5% @ 2.4 mg/kg; PFS 7.0 mo — first B7-H4 ADC clinical efficacy data). GOG-3039 abemaciclib + letrozole in HR+ endometrioid (6-mo PFS 57%, ORR 39%).
- Day 4 (Mon Apr 13) — cervical, sarcoma, surgical innovation, scientific plenary: Cervical InnovaTV 205 Arm H (tisotumab vedotin + carbo + pembro ± bev 1L; ORR 66%, DOR 13 mo). TroFuse-036 (sacituzumab tirumotecan + pembro maintenance, novel post-CCRT strategy). KEYNOTE-A18 cervical CCRT follow-up (mature OS HR 0.73, 48-mo OS 75.4% vs 70.2%). Surgical innovation: sentinel lymph node mapping, robotic platforms, fertility-sparing in early-stage cervical. Uterine sarcoma: leiomyosarcoma combination Ph2 data.
The meeting hit 3,000+ in-person attendees (per SGO press preview), comparable to 2025; the Annual Meeting Program Committee received a record number of abstract submissions.

├── program-notes.md # 1-month retrospective: tracks, headline readouts by disease, discussant framing
└── trials/ # per-trial template + master trial index

The trials/ directory mirrors the ASCO 2026 sibling vault. Each trial gets one Markdown file (deferred — bulk extraction queued; the shape and master index are populated now so retrospective fill is mechanical).
What's different from ASCO main meeting¶
- Smaller, denser, organ-specific. ~3,000 attendees vs ~40,000. Every abstract slots into one of three disease groups (ovarian / endometrial / cervical) plus the surgical-innovation track. The era of "all-comer chemo trials" is over for gyn-onc — every Phase 3 in 2026 has a molecular subgroup (dMMR/MSI-H, FRα+, BRCA, HRD, KRAS-mut LGSOC, B7-H4, CDH6).
- Plenary-heavy structure. Five named Plenaries (PI–PV) across four days, each with 5–7 abstracts and a senior moderator. The "headline" trial of the meeting (ROSELLA in 2026) gets a Plenary slot + same-day Lancet publication.
- Surgical Section is a distinct culture. SGO is one of the few oncology meetings where surgical innovation (sentinel node, robotic platforms, fertility-sparing) gets its own plenary alongside drug trials. This has no analog at ASCO/ESMO main meetings.
- ADC era arrives in force in 2026. Across all three disease groups: mirvetuximab (FRα), raludotatug deruxtecan (CDH6), puxitatug samrotecan (B7-H4), tisotumab vedotin (TF), sacituzumab tirumotecan (TROP2), BNT-324 (B7-H3) — six distinct ADC targets with clinical efficacy data. This is the AACR mechanism-class story landing in the clinic.
- Cooperative-group authorship is dense. GOG-Foundation / NRG / ENGOT / APGOT / LACOG / ANZGOG co-sponsorships dominate (ROSELLA alone has five). Unlike ASCO where company-sponsored trials dominate, SGO surfaces investigator-initiated cooperative-group designs that often inform NCCN-guideline updates faster.
Forward link to ASCO 2026 (May/Jun)¶
[Forward-looking — flagged] Several of the May/Jun 2026 GYN-track readouts at ASCO main meeting are direct sequels to April's SGO 2026 Plenaries:
- ROSELLA Lifyorli relacorilant — April's Lancet simultaneous OS publication generated rapid NCCN-guideline incorporation; ASCO 2026 May likely sees subgroup analyses (HRD, BRCA, prior bev exposure, line of therapy) + PRO / QoL secondary endpoints.
- RUBY 4-year OS — April's mature OS update strengthened dostarlimab + chemo as 1L SOC for dMMR endometrial; ASCO May/Jun likely sees ENGOT-EN6 long-term safety + biomarker subgroup analyses (POLE-mut, p53-abn).
- Raludotatug deruxtecan REJOICE-Ovarian01 — April's Ph2/3 ORR readout (50.5%) is the foundation for Ph3 expansion design; ASCO May likely sees dose-cohort comparisons + tolerability deep-dive.
- Puxitatug samrotecan BLUESTAR — April's first-in-human endometrial Ph1/2a (AZD8205 B7-H4 ADC) — ASCO May likely sees ovarian + breast cohort expansion (AZ presented the basket BLUESTAR design at AACR 2026 April).
- KEYNOTE-A18 cervical — April's mature OS update (HR 0.73, 48-mo OS 75.4%) — ASCO May/Jun likely sees biomarker correlates + PD-L1 subgroup analyses.
Cross-vault links¶
- AACR 2026 — Apr 17–22 (one week after SGO closed); B7-H4, CDH6, B7-H3, FRα ADC mechanism sessions; relacorilant glucocorticoid-receptor antagonism preclinical sessions backing ROSELLA.
- ASCO 2026 — May 29–Jun 2 main meeting; GYN-track sequels above.
- JPM 2026 — Jan 12–15, 2026; Corcept ($CORT), AbbVie ($ABBV), AstraZeneca ($AZN), Daiichi Sankyo, GSK ($GSK), Merck ($MRK) all presented gyn-onc franchise data at JPM. Investor framing of relacorilant FDA submission + mirvetuximab life-cycle was set at JPM, with the data following at SGO.
- ESMO 2026 — Oct 16–20, 2026; European GYN track + later-cycle OS confirmations and biomarker subgroup follow-ups.
- Conferences timeline — SGO's April slot in the year's oncology cycle (bridge between AACR mechanism sessions in late April and ASCO main meeting in late May/June).
